Privacy Policy

1. Introduction

Welcome to SeneTek ("we," "our," or "us"). We respect your privacy and are committed to protecting your personal data. This privacy policy will inform you as to how we look after your personal data when you visit our website and use our services, and tell you about your privacy rights and how the law protects you.

2. Data We Collect

We may collect, use, store and transfer different kinds of personal data about you which we have grouped together as follows:

  • Identity Data: includes first name, last name, username or similar identifier.
  • Contact Data: includes email address and company information submitted via forms.
  • Technical Data: includes internet protocol (IP) address, browser type and version, time zone setting and location, browser plug-in types and versions, operating system and platform, and other technology on the devices you use to access this website.
  • Usage Data: includes information about how you use our website, products, and services.
  • Connected Account Data: When you connect a social account such as LinkedIn, we receive the profile and organisation identifiers that account exposes, together with an access token that lets us act on your behalf within the permissions you granted. You can revoke those permissions at any time from that platform.
  • Content Data: The posts, drafts, notes and supporting material prepared for publication in our tools, including any personal data you choose to include in them.
  • Connected Systems Data: Where a client connects a delivery system such as a code repository or work tracker, we read activity from it — contributions, work items and timestamps, which identify the people who performed that work — to produce delivery reporting for that client.

3. How We Use Your Data

We will only use your personal data when the law allows us to. Most commonly, we will use your personal data in the following circumstances:

  • To provide the services you requested.
  • To process your payment (via our third-party payment processor, Stripe).
  • To manage our relationship with you.
  • To improve our website, products/services, marketing, and customer relationships.
  • To prepare, review and — where you have connected an account and granted permission — publish content to that account on your behalf. Content is placed in a review queue and a person must approve it before it is published.

4. Social Accounts and Publishing

Some of our tools connect to social platforms, currently LinkedIn, so that content prepared in the tool can be published to an account you control.

We ask only for the permissions the feature needs: reading the connected account's basic profile and organisation details, and publishing content you have approved. We do not read your private messages, and we do not post without an approval step.

Access tokens for connected accounts are stored encrypted in a managed secrets vault, are never written to logs, and are used only to act within the permissions you granted.

You can disconnect the account at any time, either in our tool or from the platform's own application settings. Revoking access stops any further publishing immediately.

The platform you connect is a separate controller of your data on its own service. Its handling of your account is governed by its own privacy policy, not this one.

5. Third-Party Services

We use third-party services to operate our website and deliver our services. Each is used for the purpose stated and receives only the data that purpose requires:

  • Vercel: Hosts this website and runs its server-side functions. Vercel processes technical data such as IP address and browser information as part of serving requests.
  • Stripe: For payment processing where a service is paid for online. We do not store your card details.
  • Anthropic (Claude API): For generating AI-assisted insights. Content submitted for analysis is processed by Anthropic under their API data usage policies.
  • Firebase (Google): For sign-in and data storage in our client-facing applications.
  • Microsoft Azure: Hosts the infrastructure and databases behind our client-facing applications.

We do not sell personal data, and we do not share it with third parties for their own marketing.

6. How Long We Keep Data

We keep personal data only for as long as it is needed for the purpose it was collected for, and no longer:

  • Enquiries: Information you send through our contact form is retained while we are dealing with your enquiry and for as long as we have an ongoing relationship with you or your organisation.
  • Website technical and usage data: Retained in our internal monitoring systems for operational and security purposes, then discarded.
  • Client delivery data: Where we process data from a client's connected systems as part of a service, the retention period is agreed with that client and configured for their engagement. It is enforced automatically: once the period elapses, the stored content is irreversibly redacted rather than merely hidden.

Where a retention period is set by a contract or by law, that period governs.

7. Your Rights

You can ask us to do any of the following with the personal data we hold about you:

  • Access: Ask what personal data we hold about you and receive a copy of it.
  • Correct: Ask us to correct data that is inaccurate or incomplete.
  • Delete: Ask us to delete data where we no longer have a reason to keep it.
  • Object or restrict: Ask us to stop or limit how we use your data.

To make a request, email us at the address below. We will respond within 30 days. We may need to confirm your identity first. Where we hold data on behalf of a client, we will direct your request to that client, who decides how it is handled.

8. Data Security

We have put in place appropriate security measures to prevent your personal data from being accidentally lost, used or accessed in an unauthorized way, altered or disclosed. In addition, we limit access to your personal data to those employees, agents, contractors and other third parties who have a business need to know.
